We, at Schakra, are very proud of the benefits we offer to reward and retain our employees. We feel that our benefit package is as rewarding as much larger employers while still maintaining a small company culture. Currently Schakra is proud to offer the following benefits:
401(k)
Our current 401(k) plan is with Paradigm Financial with allows us to offer multiple families of mutual funds like Oppenheimer, American Funds, Goldman Sachs, etc. We plan on continuing to offer a dollar-for-dollar match on the first 3% of your contributions and fifty cents on the dollar for the next 2%.
Medical and Vision
Premera, the leading provider of medical insurance in Washington, will remain our medical and vision insurance provider for the benefit year. They offer us an extremely benefit rich medical plan with in-network preventive care requiring only a small co-pay, very reasonable $200 deductible and either 90% or 80% coinsurance depending on services after the deductible is satisfied.
Dental
Our strong dental plan offers a $1500 benefit per year with a $0 deductible for preventive procedures and a small $50 deductible for all other services. It pays 100% of preventive services, 80% for procedures and 50% for major procedures. Ameritas is our current provider.
Life Insurance
We offer and pay 100% of the premium for $15,000 of protection with Life Wise Assurance. We also pay for 70% of $100,000 of permanent insurance that you have the option of funding if you leave the company. You also have the option of adding additional protection.
Disability
Principal is our short-term (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) insurance carrier. Together they cover up to 60% of your wages after the 8th day of injury until age 65.
