Software Development Manager (Job ID : SDM01)

Required Skills
- Responsible for project proposals, project management and software development of multiple development projects
- Build and manage a top caliber software development team
- Manage the trade-offs between scope, resource and time during the development lifecycle
- Ownership of technical relationship with customers
- Create, maintain and drive engineering schedules and continually evaluate process and methodology to look for ways to improve efficiency without compromising quality.
- Own the budget for the development team, ensure overall cost is kept under budget as per the plan, set objectives for the team, conduct performance reviews and appraisal for team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in software development
- 8+ years of experience leading major software development projects, a proven track record of managing through all phases of the software development life cycle, resulting in high-quality software, delivered on time and under budget.
- 8+ years of proven experience as a people manager - building skills, culture and high effective teams.
- Strong problem solving, coding and debugging skills . Must be hands on coding with at least one major programming language and a flair with programming languages in general.
- Excellent project management, negotiation, and decision-making skills in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge in Microsoft technologies - must have conceptual understanding in a broad range of technologies like SharePoint, Cloud Computing, Databases, Business Intelligence, Big Data, Application Servers, Web Services etc.
- Strong understanding of computer science and engineering concepts
- A BS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree required, Masters is a plus.
